DIY 1 yard 1 hour Bag

It’s easy and simple to make a nice bag.
This bag is completed in an hour with a piece of 1yard fabric.
It would be good to use it as a shoulder bag or reusable shopping bag.
I recommend using a slightly thicker fabric.

EASY Shoulder Bag Step by Step Tutorial

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 17¾″(45㎝) W × 14″(35㎝) H ×10″(25㎝) D.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton or canvas ) – 1 yard
1  30″ × 30″ ( 76㎝ × 76㎝ )
2  2½″ × 24″ ( 6㎝ × 60.5㎝ )

You don’t need a pattern to make this bag.

Fold twice the 4 sides of the fabric.

Cut 4 corners diagonally and fold once.

Fold the seams at the corners as shown in the picture and sew the seams.

Fold the square in half, right sides together.
Stitch each side from the 8” mark to the fold.

Press the side seams flat.
Then turn inside out.

Fold each corner up to meet the start of the side seam stitching.
And sew the corner to the side seam.

Make a shoulder strap and apply it.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
