And the best part is, I’m going to guide you through the entire process, from making the pattern to zipping it up and finishing the pouch. So, grab your materials and let’s get started!
Zipper Pouch Bag Step By Step Tutorial
The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 7⅛″(18㎝) W × 4″(10㎝) H × 3⅝″(9㎝) D.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
② 12¾″ × 6¾″ (32㎝ × 17㎝) Outer layer
② 12¾″ × 6¾″ (32㎝ × 17㎝) Lining
② 12″ × 6″ (30㎝ × 15㎝) Fusible fleece
Zipper ① 12″(30㎝)
1⅝″(4㎝) wide bias tape 17¾″(45㎝)
The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.
With assembled lining right side up, center zipper right side facing up along top edge. Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place.
Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.
Open out, press pieces away from the zipper. Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.
Place the end of the zipper between the outer and lining of the side panel and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Open out, press pieces and stitch.
Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. And sew the bottom seams.
Turn right side out and pining outer layer and lining together. Sew all the edges.
Turn inside out. Fold down the side panel and align it with the side of the main panel. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
The bias tape is placed on the seams, stitch up to the end.
Stitch from the right side seam into seam, or sew manually from the backside.
