Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
Main Fabric
④ 5¾″ × 7¾″ (14.5㎝ × 19.5㎝) Outer layer
(1 Sheet of color fabric each)”
② 10¾″ × 7¾″ (27㎝ × 19.5㎝) Lining
④ 5″ × 7″ (12.5㎝ × 17.5㎝) Fusible fleece
Zipper
① 10″(25㎝)
Zipper Stop Fabric
② 1¼″ ×2″ (3㎝ × 5㎝) Outer layer
The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.
Place the two pieces of fabric facing each other, paying attention to the symmetry of the left and right sides. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Cut by adding 3/8” from the edge of the interfacing.
With assembled lining right side up, center zipper right side facing up along top edge. Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.
Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.
Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.
Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew both sides with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving an opening on the lining.
Center the zipper. And place the center of the outer layer and lining in line with the zipper. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Join the seams so that a flat floor is formed. Sew the outer and lining seam allowances together.
Turn out our boxy bag through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
Happy sewing!
