DIY Coin Purse Bag

This is a cute sized rectangle zipper pouch.
I think it would be good to use it as a coin purse or cosmetic pouch.
You can simply make a pattern by watching the video.

Cute Zipper Pouch Step By Step Tutorial

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 4⅜″ (11㎝) W × 3″(7.5㎝) H × 1¼″(3㎝) D.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
2   6¾″ × 2 7/16″(17㎝ × 6㎝)

Contrast Color Fabric ( quilting cotton )
1   9¾″ × 5½″(24㎝ × 14㎝)
1   5¼″ × 4″(13㎝ × 10㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
2   9¾″ × 4 13/16″(24㎝ × 12㎝)

Zipper
1   6″(15㎝)

Interfacing (Mid-weight woven – Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
2   6¾″ × 2 7/16″(17㎝ × 6㎝)
1   9¾″ × 5½″(24㎝ × 14㎝)
1   4½″ × 4″(11㎝ × 10㎝)

Bias tape – 5¼″(13㎝)

Fuse the interfacing, centered, to the wrong side of the outer.

Place the outer layer facing each other and align the center, then sew with a seam allowance of 3/8″. Unfold a small piece of fabric and open the seam allowance.

Place the right sides together of the lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Cut the outer and lining into the shape of the pattern.

Fold the pocket fabric in half and apply a bias binding on top.

Place the pocket on the outer layer and sew 3 sides except for the entrance of the pocket.

Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer. Place the lining on top of the zip.

Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Use the same process to sew the zipper to the other side of the bag pieces.

Align the sides of the zipper and bottom, and sew with a seam allowance of 3/8″.

Place the outer and lining of the 4 sides.

Sew just both sides with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn inside out our coin purse bag through the hole that we left not stitched.
After this, sew up this hole by manually.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
