DIY Cute Zipper Bag

It is a zipper pouch or a tote bag that can be easily made.
I made it with two cute and orange color fabrics.
I recomend you made by light colored and dark colored fabric.
It would be a good size to use it as a children’s bag or lunch bag.

1  11⅞″ × 17⅛″ ( 30㎝ × 43㎝ )

1½″(4㎝) Wide Bias tapes – 12″ (30㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Fold the handle pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease.
Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press.
Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge.

Position the handle 4″ interval of the outer layer, then sew with 1/4″ seam allowance.

After attach the bottom panel, fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side.

After attach the bottom panel, fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side.

Place the zipper centred right sides together (zipper pull down) on top of the outer layer.
Place the lining on top of the zip.
Use pins while sewing a 3/8” from the raw edge down the zipper starting on the zipper tab and finishing on the other zipper tab.
Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.
Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way being careful to ensure that the fabric lines up with the other side as best you can.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.
Repeat for the second side.

Sew the edges together with the outer and lining.

Fold both ends the center as shown in the picture.

Sew both ends with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Wrap the seam allowance with a bias and sew.

And turn out.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
