Fold the Handle pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge.

Place the handle at intervals of 4″ in the center of the outer layer. Pin and sew.

Fold the outer fabric in half and sew both sides with a seam allowance of 3/8″.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Place the right sides together of the lining and lining patch and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Fold the lining patch up and topstitch.

Fold the inner pocket right sides together in half, and sew both sides with a seam allowance of 3/8″.

The bias tape is placed and pinned as pictured, stitch up to the end. Stitch from the right side seam into seam.

Place the inner pocket on the right of the lining and sew.

Layer an outer layer face up, then the zipper face down along one edge, and then the lining face down. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Use the same process to sew the zipper to the other side.

Topstitch the fabric down both sides of the zipper.

Place a zip pocket on one end of the lining and sew the other lining on top of it. Place the other end of the zip pocket between the other linings and sew. At the bottom of the lining, leave an opening and sew.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed.
Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn inside out the outer layer. Put the outer layer inside the lining. Align the bag opening and pin it. Sew all the way around.

Place the wrong sides together of the outer and lining, and sew the seam allowances on both sides together.

Turn out the divided tote bag through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole.

Topstitch all the way around of the top of the bag entrance.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
