Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
2 15⅛″ × 6¾″ ( 38㎝ × 30.5㎝ )
1 15⅛″ × 11½″ ( 38㎝ × 29㎝ )
2 15⅛″ × 6⅜″ ( 38㎝ × 16㎝ )
2 3¼″ × 12″ ( 8㎝ × 30㎝ )
Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
2 15⅛″ × 12⅛″ ( 38㎝ × 30.5㎝ )
2 15⅛″ × 6⅜″ ( 38㎝ × 16㎝ )
Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
1 14⅜″ × 22¾″ ( 36㎝ × 57㎝ )
5㎜ Cotton Cord
2 33⅝″ (85㎝)
The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.
Sew the front and back fabrics facing each other on both sides of one bottom fabric.
Fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side of the fabric.
Fold the handle pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge. Place and sew the handles 3¼″ interval.
Sew the cover fabric facing the right side on both sides of the main fabric.
Place the right sides together of the outer and lining.
Sew the both ends with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Open the center of the main fabric and flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.
To make the bottom, cut both ends into a square shape measuring 3″ wide and 2⅝″ long. Then, sew both sides with a seam allowance of 3/8″. (At this time, do not sew 3/4″ on both sides of the entrance of the outer fabric.)
Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Turn out our drawstring bag through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole.
Put the lining inside the outer fabric, press, and Sew with an allowance of about 3/4″.
Topstitch all the way around of the top of the bag entrance after folding the cover fabric and putting it inside.
Start inserting the string through one end of the casing, using a safety pin. Continue inserting the string into the casing on the other side. Next, take the other string and start inserting it through the casing from the opposite side. Continue as before. Tie the ends of the string in a knot and pull the ends to close the bag.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
Happy sewing!
