Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

1  Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1  Lining ( quilting cotton )

1 Fabric for belt panel ( quilting cotton ) : 2⅜″ (6 cm) wide

If you want to decide the size yourself,,,

Horizontal size: Cover size x 2 + Book thickness + Pocket part(2⅜″ or 6㎝ ) + Folded part( 2⅜″ or 6㎝ ) + Seam allowance on both sides (3/8″ x 2) + 3/8″ or 1 cm

Vertical size: Cover size + Top and bottom seam allowance (3/8″ x 2) + 1/4″ or 5 mm

You can also change the size of the pockets and folds to your liking.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Fold the belt panel in half, wrong sides together to make a crease.
Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press.
Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge.

Place the belt 4 inches in from edge of the lining.
Pin and sew just top and bottom part.

Fold the pocket part and sew the outer and lining together with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 3-inch opening.

Turn out our book cover through the opening that we left not stitched and press.

Sew up the opening with a blind stitch.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
