Today I made a reusable shopping bag that can be easily folded. It has a zipper so you don’t have to worry about things spilling out, and it has a large capacity so it can hold a lot of things. Let’s make a light and convenient bag with me?
The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 15⅞″(40㎝) W × 15⅞″(40㎝) H × 11⅞″(30㎝) D.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
◎ Main Panel
① 29⅛″ × 39¾″ (74㎝ × 101㎝) Outer layer
◎ Finishing Panel
② 9″ × 2¼″ (23㎝ × 5.5㎝) Outer layer
◎ Others
① 29⅛″ (74㎝) Zipper
① 1″ (2.5㎝) wide Webbing Strap 67″ (170㎝)
② 1″ (2.5㎝) wide Rectangle Ring
② 1″ (2.5㎝) wide Triglides Slide
① 5/8″ (1.5㎝) Elastic band 8″ (20㎝)
It is best to use a thin waterproof cloth, polyester, or nylon fabric as the main fabric.
With assembled outer layer right side up, center zipper right side facing down along top edge. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on 1/8” away from the zipper.
Use the same process to sew the zipper to the other side of the bag pieces.
Fold it 4 inches wide around the zipper as shown above.
Sew the both sides.
Place and sew the elastic band on the side.
Insert the finishing panel at both ends and sew.
Fold the finishing fabric out and sew the ends.
Place bag straps on both sides of the zipper and sew.
Attach Triglides Slide to the bag strap.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
Happy sewing!
