DIY Small Zipper Pouch 2 Sizes

They are small zipper pouches with a three-dimensional shape.
I made two sizes of pouches using a 10cm zipper and a 15cm zipper.
It would be good to use a small pouch as a coin purse and a large pouch as a cosmetic pouch.
It will be a fun and great sewing time.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

4″(10㎝) pouch
Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
2  4¾″ × 2¾″ (12㎝ × 7㎝)
1  4¾″ × 4¾″ (12㎝ × 12㎝)
Lining ( quilting cotton )
2  4¾″ × 2¾″ (12㎝ × 7㎝)
1  4¾″ × 4¾″ (12㎝ × 12㎝)
Zipper
1  4″(10㎝)
Interfacing (Fusible Fleece – 987F Fusible Fleece or Vilene H630)
2  4″ × 2″ ( 10㎝ × 5㎝ )
1  4″ × 4″ ( 10㎝ × 10㎝ )

6″(15㎝) pouch
Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
2  6¾″ × 3¾″ (17㎝ × 9.5㎝)
1  6¾″ × 6¾″ (17㎝ × 17㎝)
Lining ( quilting cotton )
2  6¾″ × 3¾″ (17㎝ × 9.5㎝)
1  6¾″ × 6¾″ (17㎝ × 17㎝)
Zipper
1  6″(15㎝)
Interfacing (Fusible Fleece – 987F Fusible Fleece or Vilene H630)
2  6″ × 3″ ( 15㎝ × 7.5㎝ )
1  6″ × 6″ ( 15㎝ × 15㎝ )

Fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side of the outer layer.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

Cut all the corners, be careful not to cut through the stitches, turn the pouch inside out through the opening hole.
Tip : Poke the corners with a knitting needle or chopstick, or skewer.

Topstitch all around.
And place the end of the small square pieces center of the large square.
Place the right sides together and whip stitch the edge.

Place the zipper centred on top of the lining.
And backstitch the zipper.

Attach to the other side of the zip the same way.

Whip stitch the other sides of the pouch.

Turn it right side out the zipper opening.

Then you are done.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
