DIY STAR PIN CUSHION

Here’s a cute pincushion that resembles a star shape.
It is a good item to use fabric scraps
The star shape will stand out even more if you use three different patterned fabrics.
When sewing, it is most important to always leave 3/8 inch at the beginning and end.
I think it would be a great gift to make it pretty.

Fabric Scraps Craft Idea

The finished measurements of this pin cushion are approximately 6″(15㎝) W × 6″(15㎝) H × 3″(7.5㎝) D.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

Quilting cotton
5   3″ × 3″ (7.5㎝ × 7.5㎝)

Polyester Fiber Fill
Sewing Button

Place the right sides together of two sheets and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving 3/8″ of start and end.

Sew them together one by one.

Five sheets were joined together to form a star shape.

Put a button in the center of the top star.
Then, make a star shape by attaching five pieces of fabric at the bottom.

Sew the sides to the bottom in inserting the squares in the “V”.
If all five sides are inserted into the bottom, it will look like the picture below.

Match the shape and place the right sides together of the top panel and the side panel.
And sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a opening.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening.
And put Polyester Fiber Fill through the opening.

Sew the opening hole close.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
