DIY Triple Zipper Bag

This is a great out going bag in a square shape with three zippers. It has 5 pockets and a adjustable shoulder strap. Many pockets are good for organizing wallets, keys, cell phones, cards, cash, coins, etc.

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
2   9⅞″ × 2″(25㎝ × 5㎝)
2   9⅞″ × 6¾″(25㎝ × 17㎝)

2   9⅞″ × 5½″(25㎝ × 14㎝)
6   1⅝″ × 1¼″(4㎝ × 3㎝)
4   1¼″ × 6″(3㎝ × 15㎝)
2   3¼″ × 31⅝″(8㎝ × 80㎝)

2   9⅞″ × 6¾″(25㎝ × 17㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
6   9⅞″ × 6¾″(25㎝ × 17㎝)

Zipper
3   8″(20㎝)

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
6   9⅛″ × 6″(23㎝ × 15㎝)

4   5/8″ (1.5㎝) wide D ring
2   3/4″ (2㎝) wide Swivel Snap
1   3/4″ (2㎝) wide Triglides Slide

Fold  1¼″ × 6″ fabric piece in half with the 6” sides together and press. Fold in half to make D ring straps.

Place straps on both sides between the dark fabric and the patterned fabric and sew.

The front panel and back panel are ready.

Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer. Place the lining on top of the zip. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way. Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper. Make a total of 3 zipper panels.

Mark the wrong side of the outer layer of the middle zipper panel as shown in the picture.

Face the back side of the front zipper panel with the front side of the middle zipper panel and sew the marked line.

Fold the middle zipper panel as shown in the picture.

Flip the layers so the outer layers are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew 4 sides with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

Cut all the corners, be careful not to cut through the stitches, turn the pouch inside out through the opening hole.

Face the inner side of the back zipper panel with the back side of the middle zipper panel and sew the marked line.

Fold the middle zipper panel and the front zipper panel. Flip the layers so the outer layers are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew 4 sides with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

Cut all the corners, be careful not to cut through the stitches, turn the pouch inside out through the opening hole.

Fold the front and back zipper panels.

Flip the layers so the outer layers are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew 4 sides with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

Cut all the corners, be careful not to cut through the stitches, turn the pouch inside out through the opening hole. After this, sew up this hole.

Attach a shoulder strap.
