Easy DIY Slim Card Wallet

Today, I will show you a card wallet that you can easily make.
This cardholder has 4 card slots and a central pocket for money.
It has a tab with a snap button to prevent cards or money from falling out.
I think it would be good to make several and give them as gifts.

5 Card Holder Step By Step Tutorial

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1   5″ × 6¾″(12.5㎝ × 17㎝)
1   5″ × 4¾″(12.5㎝ × 12㎝)

Contrast Color Fabric ( quilting cotton )
2   5″ × 4¾″(12.5㎝ × 12㎝)
2   1¾″ × 4¾″(4.5㎝ × 12㎝)
1   1⅝″ × 2″(4㎝ × 5㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
1   5″ × 6¾″(12.5㎝ × 17㎝)
1   5″ × 4¾″(12.5㎝ × 12㎝)

Interfacing (Mid-weight woven – Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
1   4¼″ × 6″(10.5㎝ × 15㎝)
1   4¼″ × 4″(10.5㎝ × 10㎝)
2   4¼″ × 2″(10.5㎝ × 5㎝)
2   1″ × 4″(2.5㎝ × 10㎝)

3/8″ (1㎝) wide D ring
9.5mm Snaps Button

Cut the interfacing into the shape of the pattern.
And fuse the interfacing, centered, to the wrong side.

Make a panel that becomes card slots and closer tap.

Place the 2 middle card slots (Contrast Color Fabric) on the right side of the largest outer layer fabric.

Then stitch the bottom line of the middle card slots.

Place the closer tab on the right side of the front pocket.

Then double stitch the closer tab.

Center the main outer and front pocket panels and sew.

Place the right sides together of the outer and sew the top and bottom with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving opening on the top.

Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.
Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn out our card wallet through the hole that we left not stitched.
After this, topstitch all around, and the simple card wallet is ready!

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
