Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
◎ Main Panel
① 9⅞″ × 12¼″ (25㎝ × 31㎝) Outer layer
① 9⅞″ × 12¼″ (25㎝ × 31㎝) Lining
① 8¾″ × 11½″ (22㎝ × 29㎝) Fusible fleece
◎ Zipper
① 8″ (20㎝)
◎ Zipper end fabric
① 1¼″ × 2¼″ (3㎝ × 5.5㎝) Outer layer
① 1¼″ × 2¼″ (3㎝ × 5.5㎝) Lining
The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.
Place the right sides together of the outer and lining of the zipper end fabric and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Open out the outer fabric and lining.
With assembled outer layer right side up, center zipper right side facing down along top and side edge. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 1/4″ seam allowance.
Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place.
Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.
Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.
Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving an opening on the lining.
Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
The small snips will help the side panel adapt to the curved edge of the main panel.
Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. And sew up this opening.
Arrange the lining inside and press pieces away from and stitch on the 1/8” away from the zipper.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
Happy sewing!
