Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
◆ Main panel
② 5⅜″ × 5⅜″ (13.5㎝ × 13.5㎝) Outer layer
② 5⅜″ × 5⅜″ (13.5㎝ × 13.5㎝) Lining
◆ Zipper panel
① 8⅛″ × 1¼″ (20.5㎝ × 3㎝) Outer layer
① 8⅛″ × 1¼″ (20.5㎝ × 3㎝) Lining
◆ Hook fabric
① 2⅜″ × 2⅜″ (6㎝ × 6㎝) Outer layer
◆ Others
① 8⅛″ (20.5㎝) Zipper
① 5/8″ (1.5㎝) Wide Swivel Snap Hook
Cut the fabric into the shape of the pattern.
Fold the hook fabric in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8″ from the edge. Feed the hook fabric through the hole of the hook.
Place the hook on the right side of the outer layer and sew.
Place the zipper right sides together on top of the lining of the zipper panel. Place the outer layer on top of the zip.
Sew both sides with an allowance of about 1/4″.
Turn them right side out. Sew the edges of the outer layer and lining of the zipper panel together.
Do this by marking the quarter of your zipper panel(Gusset) and the quarter of your main panel. Now, using your quarter marks, start pining your zipper panel around the perimeter of your main panel. Sew all the edge with an allowance of about 1/4″.
Place the lining on top of the zip and sew with an allowance of about 1/4″, leaving an opening.
Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Use the same process to sew the zipper to the other side of the pouch pieces. And sew up this opening.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
