DIY Roll Up Makeup Bag

This Roll Up Makeup Bag is keeping everything organized, and it’s compact too.
From the outside, it’s a bag with a handle, but unroll it, and it turns into a magic carpet!
It opens to reveal four separate, zippered compartments, which make it easy to organize the products within.
Just follow the step-by-step instructions and you will have your own Travel Makeup Bag.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton ) – 1 yard

4   10¾″ × 12⅜″(27㎝ × 31.1㎝)
2   6⅞″ × 6⅞″(17.3㎝ × 17.3㎝)
1   10¾″ × 3¼″(27㎝ × 8㎝)
1   1¼″ × 16″(3㎝ × 40㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton ) – 1yard
1   10¾″ × 25½″(27㎝ × 64.5㎝)
4   10¾″ × 12⅜″(27㎝ × 31.1㎝)

4   10¾″ × 12⅜″(27㎝ × 31.1㎝)
2   6⅞″ × 6⅞″(17.3㎝ × 17.3㎝)
1   10″ × 3¼″(25㎝ × 8㎝)

Zipper
4   10″(25㎝)

1⅝″(4㎝) Wide Bias tape – 197½″(500㎝)

9   Hook and Loop 7″(17.5㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Attach the hook and loop to the location shown in the video.

Face the wrong sides of the outer and lining of the cover of the bag.
And attach bias tape to the edges.

Cut the 2 square fabric diagonally to make 8 pieces of triangle.

Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer.
Place the lining on top of the zip.
Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the other side of the zip the same way.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Place one side of the triangular piece of fabric on the zipper panel and sew.

Open the zipper and turn it over so that the inside side is visible.
And sew the rest of the triangle to the zipper panel.

Apply a bias binding to the triangular side.

Now 4 zipper pouches are ready.

Place the zipper pouch on the inside of the bag cover and roll the cover to complete the bag.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
