DIY 2-Bottle & 4-Bottle Wine Tote Bag

I made an eco-friendly bottle tote bag today. It has a separate space so that the glass bottle can be safely moved. It can also be a gift bag for a special and happy day. I’ll show you how to make a bag for two bottles or four four bottles.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 12″(30㎝) W × 12¾″(32㎝) H  | 3″(7.5㎝) D. 

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1   12¾″ × 29¼″( 32㎝ × 73.5㎝)
1   24¾″ × 2¼″(62㎝ × 5.5㎝)

2   Strip of 3/4″ (2㎝) wide Webbing Strap 18″(45㎝)

Fold the fabric in half. Fold the bottom up and pin it. Sew both sides with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn right side out.

Attach the handles at 6″ intervals.

Fold the lining patch in half and sew.

Open the seam.

Place the lining patch on the main fabric and pin it. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Fold the end of the lining patch within 3/8 and iron it.

Fold the lining patch into the main fabric. Topstitch the main fabric and the lining patch.

Stitch the center line of the bag.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
2   12¾″ × 29¼″( 32㎝ × 73.5㎝)
2   24¾″ × 2¼″(62㎝ × 5.5㎝)

2   Strip of 3/4″ (2㎝) wide Webbing Strap 18″(45㎝)

Fold the fabric in half. Fold the bottom up and pin it. Sew both sides with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn right side out.

Attach each handle one at a time at 8 intervals.

Fold the lining patch in half and sew.

Open the seams.

Place the lining patch on the main fabric and pin it. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Fold the lining patch twice and put it inside the main fabric. Topstitch the main fabric and the lining patch.

Place the right side where the handle is not applied, and sew the two sheets in a square shape.

Stitch the center line of the bag.
