Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
2   12¾″ × 8″ (32㎝ × 20㎝)
1   8¾″ × 6″ (22㎝ × 15㎝)
1   10¾″ × 12″ (27㎝ × 30㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
2   12¾″ × 8″ (32㎝ × 20㎝)
1   8¾″ × 6″ (22㎝ × 15㎝)
1   10¾″ × 12″ (27㎝ × 30㎝)

Zipper
1   8″(20㎝)

3/4″(2㎝) wide Webbing Strap 59¼″(150㎝)
3/4″(2㎝) wide D ring, Swivel Snap and Triglides Slide
Magnetic Buttons

Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
2   12″ × 7⅛″ (30㎝ × 18㎝)
1   8″ × 5⅛″ (20㎝ × 13㎝)

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
1   10″ × 11⅛″ (25㎝ × 28㎝)
1   1⅛″ × 1⅛″(3㎝ × 3㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Cut the interfacing into the shape of the pattern. And fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side. Cut by adding 3/8” from the edge of the interfacing.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

With sharp scissors make small snips on curved side seams.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Press, pin and topstitch around the edges.

Place the flap on the right side of the outer layer and sew.

Layer an outer (main fabric) piece face up, then the zipper face down along one edge, and then the lining face down. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Use the same process to sew the zipper to the other side of the bag pieces.

Sew both sides of the zipper pocket.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew the top with an allowance of about 3/8″.Leave a 4-inch opening on the flap.

Pin the zipper pockets on both sides of the lining.

Place the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Topstitch all the way around of the top of the bag entrance.

Attach the bag strap.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
