DIY CUTE ZIPPER POUCH

I made a cute shaped zipper pouch.
It fits in one hand, but the interior space is large, so you can put quite a few things.
By watching this video, you can draw a pattern and make it pretty.

Round Makeup Bag Sewing Tutorial

The finished measurements of this pouch are approximately 6⅜″(16㎝) W × 4⅛″(10.5㎝) H ×2⅜″(6㎝) D.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton ) – 1/4 yard
2  7⅛″ × 4⅞″ ( 18㎝ × 12.5㎝ )
2  6¾″ × 1¾″ ( 17㎝ × 4.5㎝ )
1  11¾″ × 3⅛″ ( 30.8㎝ × 8㎝ )
2  1¼″ × 2″ ( 3㎝ × 5㎝ )

Lining ( quilting cotton ) – 1/4 yard
2  7⅛″ × 4⅞″ ( 18㎝ × 12.5㎝ )
2  6¾″ × 1¾″ ( 17㎝ × 4.5㎝ )
1  11¾″ × 3⅛″ ( 30.8㎝ × 8㎝ )

Interfacing (Fusible Fleece – 987F Fusible Fleece or Vilene H630)
2  7⅛″ × 4⅞″ ( 18㎝ × 12.5㎝ )
2  6¾″ × 1¾″ ( 17㎝ × 4.5㎝ )
1  11¾″ × 3⅛″ ( 30.8㎝ × 8㎝ )

Zipper
1  6″(15㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Place the zipper right sides together (zipper pull down) on top of the outer layer.
Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.
Press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Attach a bottom panel to the zipper panel.

Do this by marking the center of a front panel and the center of the zipper panel (just fold the piece in half to find the center).
Then using the center marks, start pining the bottom (raw edge- not zipper edge) of the zipper panel around the perimeter of front panel.
Sew all around with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Repeat for the other side.

Assemble the lining in the same way as the outer layer.
However, there is a zipper hole in the lining.

Now the outer and lining are ready.

Put the outer layer inside the lining and align the zipper hole.
Then, the lining is secured to the outer layer with a blind stitch.

Turn right side out.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
