Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1   8¾″ × 12¾″(22㎝ × 32㎝)
1   1⅛″ × 2″(3㎝ × 5㎝)
1   2⅜″ × 6¾″(6㎝ × 17㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
1   8¾″ × 12¾″(22㎝ × 32㎝)
2   3¼″ × 2″(8㎝ × 5㎝)

Zipper
1   8″(20㎝)

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
1   8″ × 12″(20㎝ × 30㎝).

With assembled outer layer right side up, center zipper right side facing down (zipper pull at left) along top edge.

Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the opposite side of the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Stitch both side seams together with the outer and lining.

Place the handle and zipper tab in the center of both sides and sew.

Turn wrong side out, and Mark both ends around the zipper.

Fold the marked one inward, and fold the other half inward again.

Sew the both ends with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Wrap the seam allowance with a small piece of fabric and sew.

Turn right side out.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
