DIY Double Cell Phone Bag

I made a Double Cell Phone Bag with a total of 5 pockets today. There is a front room with snap on closure, a zip pocket on the back, and three rooms when the main zipper is opened. This crossbody bag can hold iPhone, keys, money, cards, wallet, headphones,passport, tickets, cash, etc.

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 5″(12.5㎝) W × 8″(20㎝) H × 3/4″(2㎝) D.

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Solid Color Cotton Fabric )
2   5¾″ × 8¾″(14.5㎝ × 22㎝)
1   4¾″ × 4⅛″(12㎝ × 10.5㎝)
1   5¾″ × 2⅞″(14.5㎝ × 7.5㎝)

Contrast Color Fabric ( quilting cotton )
1   5¾″ × 8¾″(14.5㎝ × 22㎝)
1   5¾″ × 4¾″(14.5㎝ × 12㎝)
1   5¾″ × 2¼″(14.5㎝ × 5.5㎝)
1   5¾″ × 6⅞″(14.5㎝ × 17.5㎝)
1   2⅜″ × 52¼″(6㎝ × 132㎝)
1   1½″ × 2⅜″(3.5㎝ × 6㎝)
2   1¼″ × 2″(3㎝ × 5㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
5   5¾″ × 8¾″(14.5㎝ × 22㎝)

Zipper
1   4¾″(12㎝), 1   6″(15㎝)

1   5/8″ (1.5㎝) wide Triglides Slide
2   5/8″ (1.5㎝) wide Swivel Snap
2   5/8″ (1.5㎝) wide D ring
Magnetic button

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
4   5″ × 8″(12.5㎝ × 20㎝)
2   4″ × 3⅜″(10㎝ × 8.5㎝)
2   5″ × 6⅛″(12.5㎝ × 15.5㎝)
1   5″ × 1½″(12.5㎝ × 3.5㎝)

Make round cuts on both sides under the pocket lid.

Place the pocket panel and lid on the front outer fabric and sew. The front pocket is ready.

With assembled lining right side up, center zipper right side facing down along top edge. Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper. Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper. Place a piece of lining under the zip pocket and sew together. The back pocket is ready.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Face the outer fabrics and sew the line that goes inward than the finished line.

Place the zipper right sides together on top of the front pocket. Place the lining on top of the zip. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″. Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the back pocket to the other side of the zipper.

Fold the back pocket into the finish line and pin it.

Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 4-inch opening.

Turn right side out through the opening. Fold the front pocket into the finish line and pin it. Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 4-inch opening.

Turn right side out through the opening. After this, sew up this hole.

Fold the strip in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge. Adjust Swivel Snaps.

Attach the strap, and the Double Cell Phone bag is ready!
