DIY Double Zipper Pencil Case

Today I made a pencil case with easy access to the contents inside. It can also contain face wash products and cosmetics. I applied the handle for easy carrying. Optional: Connect the two zippers with a string for easy opening and closing.

And fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side.

With assembled lining right side up, center zipper right side facing up along top edge. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 1/4″ seam allowance.

Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance, leaving right side seam.

Turn right side out through the side that we left not stitched.

With assembled lining of main fabric right side up, center zipper panel right side facing up along top edge.Pin in place. Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 3-inch opening on the lining.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Sew the outer and lining of the upper gusset together.

Turn out our pencil case through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole by manual.
