DIY Dumpling Purse Bag

It is a dumpling-shaped clutch bag with an invisible frame.
There is a frame at the entrance of the bag, so you can see the inside of the bag widely when you open it.
You can make this bag from leather or knitting, and I also shared on video how to make a pattern.

HIDDEN CLASP FRAME POUCH TUTORIAL

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 8¾″ (22㎝) W × 5⅜″(13.5㎝) H × 2¾″(7㎝) D.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1   19¾″ × 13¾″(50㎝ × 35㎝)
2   12¼″ × 2¾″(31㎝ × 7㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
2   12¼″ × 7¼″(31㎝ × 18.5㎝)

Internal tubular bag frame
1   7⅛″ × 4″(18㎝ × 10㎝)

Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
2   12¼″ × 6⅞″(31㎝ × 17.5㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Cut the outer layer into the shape of the pattern.

Create a pleat in the center of the outer fabric and sew.

Fold twice ends of the small piece of fabric and sew.

Fold a small piece of fabric in half and place it on the edge of the outer fabric.

Sew with an allowance of about 1/4″.

Fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side of the lining. Draw the pattern. And cut the outer and lining into the shape of the pattern.

Place the right sides together of the lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 3-inch opening.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew above and below with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew both sides with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn out our bag through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole by manually.

Apply Internal tubular bag frame. (Check out the video for more details.)

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
