This is a mini clutch bag with a wrist strap in the form of an envelope. Unlock the magnetic button on the inside of the flap to open the bag and you will see 3 separate compartments. I’ll show you how to make this awesome handbag in a simple way.

How to make a Three Compartment Handbag

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 8¾″(22㎝) W × 4¾″(12㎝) H × 2″(5㎝) D.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
1   16½″ × 14⅞″ (42㎝ × 38㎝)
1   2⅜″ × 15¾″ (6㎝ × 40㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
1   16½″ × 14⅞″ (42㎝ × 38㎝)

3/4″ (2㎝) wide D ring and Swivel Snap

Magnetic Buttons

Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
1   15¾″ × 14⅛″ (40㎝ × 36㎝)

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
1   1⅛″ × 1⅛″ (3㎝ × 3㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew the upper and bottom. Leave a 4-inch opening in the bottom.

Turn right side out.

Fold it in half and align the side of the outer fabric first. Turn wrong side out. Fit the side linings.

Sew the side seam with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn right side out through the opening. Then sew a middle line of the bag.

Topstitch all the way around of the top of the bag entrance and bottom of the bag.

Fold the bag in half, and sew both sides.

Attach wrist strap, and the Clutch Bag is ready!

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
