Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1   9″ × 9½″(23㎝ × 24㎝)
1   2¾″ × 2⅜″(7㎝ × 6㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
1   9″ × 9½″(23㎝ × 24㎝)
1   2¾″ × 2⅜″(7㎝ × 6㎝)

Zipper
1   8″(20㎝)

Plastic snap buttons

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
1   8⅜″ × 8¾″(21㎝ × 22㎝)
1   2¾″ × 2⅜″(7㎝ × 6㎝)

Round two of the corners with a sharp pair of scissors.

Place the right sides together of them. Pin and sew around the edges, leaving straight. The small snips will help to the curved edge. Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Press, pin and topstitch around all the edges.

Place it on the right side of the outer layer and sew.

Bend zipper ends in place and sew (at both the pull side and end stop side). With assembled outer layer right side up, center zipper right side facing down (zipper pull at left) along top edge. Pin in place.

Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the outer layer to the other side of the zip the same way. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

Flip the layers so the outer layers are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.

Sew both sides with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn out the pouch through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole.

Attach the plastic snap buttons.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
