DIY Keychain Card Wallet

Today, I made a small and compact card wallet. It has a zip closure so you don’t have to worry about losing your credit card. And if you give this to someone, everyone will love it.

How to make a Mini Zipper Purse

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 4¼″(10.5㎝) W × 3″(7.5㎝) H.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
2   5″ × 3¾″ (12.5㎝ × 9.5㎝)
1   2″ × 1¾″ (5㎝ × 4.5㎝)
1   1¼″ × 2″ (3㎝ × 5㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
2   5″ × 3¾″ (12.5㎝ × 9.5㎝)
2   2″ × 2½″ (5㎝ × 6.5㎝)

Zipper
1   6″(15㎝)

Key Ring

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
2   4¼″ × 3″ (10.5㎝ × 7.5㎝)
1   1¼″ × 1¾″ (3㎝ × 4.5㎝)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Bend zipper ends in place and sew .

With assembled outer layer right side up, center zipper right side facing down along top edge.(Except for 5/8″ at both ends of the fabric)
Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 1/4″ seam allowance.

Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place.
Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.

Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 2-inch opening.

Turn out the wallet through the hole that we left not stitched.
After this, sew up this hole.

Turn right side out.

Attach the Key Ring.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
