Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( quilting cotton )
1   9½″ × 15⅝″(24㎝ × 39.5㎝)
2   3¾″ × 6″(9.5㎝ × 15㎝)
1   2″ × 2¾″(5㎝ × 7㎝)
1   3¼″ × 2¾″(8㎝ × 7㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
1  9½″ × 15⅝″(24㎝ × 39.5㎝)
2   3¾″ × 6″(9.5㎝ × 15㎝)

Zipper
1   8″(20㎝)

Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
1   8¾″ × 14⅞″ (22㎝ × 37.5㎝)
2   3″ × 5¼″ (7.5㎝ × 13㎝)

Fold 3/8″ on all sides of the zipper stop fabric. Insert the end of the zipper between them and sew.

Mark the starting point of the zipper and the point where it will be 8″. Mark the 3/8″ point and the 8″ point on the fabric.

Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer. Align the two points and pin it.

Place the lining on top of the zip. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 4-inch opening.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening.

Sew up the hole by manually.

Cut the side panel fusible fleece according to the simple instructions in the video.

Fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side. Cut by adding 3/8” from the edge of the interfacing.

Fold the handle tab piece in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge.

Place the handle on the side panel and sew.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving an opening.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Sew up the hole by manually.

Pin the side panel to the main panel, pinning first at the center. Then pin the 1 inch down in place.

Continue to pin along the straight edges of the Main Panel. Sew the side panels and the main panel with whip stitch or bling stitch.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
