DIY Ring Handle Bag

Today, I’m going to show you how to make a simple bag using a ring handle. I used bag handles with an inside diameter of about 10 cm, but larger handles are available. No matter what design fabric you use, your own unique and wonderful bag will be completed.

How to make a Round Purse Bag Tutorial

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 16⅝″(42㎝) W × 10″(25㎝) H.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
1   24½″ × 14⅝″ (62㎝ × 37㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
1   24½″ × 14⅝″ (62㎝ × 37㎝)

Purse handles (About 4″ Inner Diameter)

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Place the right sides together of the outer layers.

Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving 8″ on the both sides.

With sharp scissors make small snips on 8 inches in from side seams.

Place the right sides together of the outer layers. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving 8″ on the both sides and an opening.

Turn the outer layer right side out. Put the outer layer into the lining.

Sew all the way around of the top of the bag entrance.

Turn out the bag through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole.

Mark 4″ from the top.

Place the handle on the edge, fold the top of the bag over and sew the 4″ line.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
