DIY Trendy 2WAY Lunch Bag

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Main Fabric
① 13″ × 23¾″ (33㎝ × 60㎝) Outer layer
① 13″ × 19¾″ (33㎝ × 50㎝) Lining
① 12¼″ × 23″ (31㎝ × 58㎝) Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing
Handle
① 16⅝″ × 2⅜″ (42㎝ × 6㎝) Outer layer
① 12⅝″ × 2⅜″ (32㎝ × 6㎝) Outer layer
② 11⅞″ × 1¼″ (30㎝ × 3㎝) Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing
① 5/8″ (1.5㎝) wide Side Release Buckle
① 11⅞″ (30㎝) Zipper

Fold both ends of the handle fabric in half. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Turn over the seam allowance at the end and fold in half lengthwise and iron.

Sew two rows only in the center 6″ of the handle.

Wrap the long handle through the opening on the buckle and sew.

Place the handles on top and bottom of the main fabric 1⅝″ below. Sew except for the center 6″ of the handle.

With assembled lining right side up, center zipper right side facing up along top edge. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Fold the outer layer over and place the zipper and sew.

Fold the lining and Place the lining, right side down on top. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving an opening.

Fold the bottom of the lining 2″ each as shown in the picture. Except for that 2″, sew both sides from the outer layer to the lining.

Fold 2″ of the bottom of the outer layer.

Put the bottom of the outer fabric between the bottom of the lining and fix it.

Sew the outer layer and lining together.

Turn right side out through the opening. Fold in the part 1″ away from the zipper.

Top stitch the lower part of the zipper together with the opening.
