Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
1   13¾″ × 10¾″ (35㎝ × 27㎝)
1   8¼″ × 10¾″ (21㎝ × 27㎝)
2   13¾″ × 1¾″ (35㎝ × 4.5㎝)

Contrast Color Fabric ( quilting cotton )
1   6⅜″ × 10¾″ (16㎝ × 27㎝)
1   2″ × 2″ (5㎝ × 5㎝)
2   10¾″ × 1¼″ (27㎝ × 3㎝)
2   4″ × 12¾″ (10㎝ × 32㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
2   10¾″ × 1¼″ (27㎝ × 3㎝)
2   13¾″ × 9¾″ (35㎝ × 24.5㎝)

Zipper
1   12″(30㎝)

Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
2   13″ × 10″ (32.5㎝ × 25㎝)

Cut the interfacing into the shape of the pattern. And fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side. Cut by adding 3/8” from the edge of the interfacing.

Fold the dart, matching up the lines as best as you can. Slowly sew along the marked line.

Fold the handle pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge. Place and sew the handles 3⅝″ interval.

Fold the seam allowances on the short ends of the fabric towards the wrong side. Press. With assembled lining right side up, center zipper right side facing up along top edge. Place the outer layer, right side down on top. Pin in place. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper. Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way. Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Place the lower part of the lining with the right side up. Then, the zipper panel with the right side UP centered along the top edge. Finally, place the top part of the lining with the right side DOWN, facing the zipper.

Press the seam allowance towards the top and topstitch on the top portion of the lining.

Repeat on the other side of the bag lining.

Place the right sides together of the outer fabrics and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving the entrance. Place the right sides together of the lining fabrics and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving the entrance and an opening.

Put the outer of the bag inside the lining. Match the opening of the bag.

Sew all the way around of the top of the bag entrance with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Topstitch all the way around of the top of the bag entrance.

Turn wrong side out our bag through the hole that we left not stitched.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
