Easy Glasses Case for Beginner

I made glasses case because I needed to protect my glasses from dust. And internal flex frames that I used are easy to open and close the pouch. If you’re a sewing beginner, this is a great project for you. Also it’s a great way to give a gift or to carry pencil or cosmetic.

How to make a Sunglasses Snap Bag

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 4″(10㎝) W × 7½″(18.5㎝) H × 3/4″(2㎝) D .

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
2   4¾″ × 4½″ (12㎝ × 11.5㎝)
2   4½″ × 2⅜″ (11.5㎝ × 6㎝)
1   4¾″ × 7″ (12㎝ × 18㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
1   4¾″ × 14½″ (12㎝ × 37㎝)

3⅜″(8.5cm) Metal Internal Flex Frames

Fusible fleece (It is similar to Pellon 987F ‘ or ‘Vilene H630’)
1   4″ × 13¾″ (10㎝ × 35㎝)

Place the right sides together of the outer layers and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Open the seams. And fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side.

Fold both ends of the fabric to be placed on the internal flex frame by 3/8″.

Fold it in half, place it on the end of the main fabric and pin it.

Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place. Sew the both ends with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together.

Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″, leaving a 3-inch opening.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew 3/4″ long.

Turn out our pouch through the hole that we left not stitched. After this, sew up this hole, and put the lining into the outer layer.

Now take the frame and pull it through the sleeve. You will have one side closed and one open. On the open side – close the frame and insert the tiny pin.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
