How to sew a Easy Mini wallet

This mini wallet is a cute yet multi useful pouch for you to make. There are 3 pockets for easy identification of things. Just follow the step-by-step instructions and you will have your own mini wallet pouch.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( Quilting Cotton )
1   5⅛″ × 10⅞″ (13㎝ × 27.5㎝)

Lining ( Quilting Cotton )
1   5⅛″ × 10¼″ (13㎝ × 26㎝)
1   5⅛″ × 7¼″ (13㎝ × 18.5㎝)
1   5⅛″ × 6¾″ (13㎝ × 17㎝)

Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
1   4⅜″ × 10⅛″ (11㎝ × 25.5㎝)
1   4⅜″ × 3″ (11㎝ × 7.5㎝)

Zipper
1   4″(10㎝)

Plastic snap buttons

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Place the zipper facing the outside of the lining medium size fabric.

A small lining is placed over it. Using your zipper foot, sew along top edge using a 3/8″ seam allowance. 

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Place the zipper facing the outside of the remaining lining.

Fold the small lining and sew.

Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.

Fold the fabrics down so that the zipper is on top.

Sew to pocket depth. Then fold over the longest lining.

Place the right sides together of the outer and lining.

Sew the bottom seam, leaving an opening.

Fold the lining up to the depth of the pocket.

Attach your bottom panels to your side zipper panel.

Fold the outer layer up to the depth of the pocket.

Sew all the way around.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Press, pin and topstitch around all the top edges.

Apply Plastic snap buttons.
