We all have that pile of beautiful fabric scraps we just can’t bear to throw away, right? Today, I’m sharing a super quick and clever way to turn them into something functional and fun! This isn’t just your ordinary drawstring bag—it features a sneaky little hidden pocket that’s perfect for stashing away tiny treasures. Whether you’re organized or just love a good sewing hack, you’ll want to make a dozen of these!
The finished measurements of this Hidden Pocket Pouch are approximately 4¾″(12㎝) W × 4½″(11.5㎝) H.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
◆ Main panel
① 11⅞″ × 11⅞″ (30㎝ × 30㎝) Outer layer
① 11⅞″ × 11⅞″ (30㎝ × 30㎝) Lining
◆ Others
① Drawstring Cord 31½″(80㎝)
Place the square fabric in a diamond shape and trim 3″ off both side corners.
Position the outer and lining fabrics with right sides facing each other and sew along the top and bottom edges.
Turn the piece right side out through the side opening. Fold only the outer fabric layers with right sides together and sew the sides.
Fold the lining fabric layers with right sides together and sew them as well.
Turn it right side out and flatten the fabric, then sew a straight line exactly through the center.
Fold the top and bottom edges inward and stitch 5/8″ from the edge to create the drawstring casings.
Fold the piece in half and sew both side edges, then turn the pouch right side out. Thread the drawstring through the casings and tie the ends to complete your pouch.
All done! We hope you enjoy creating your own wonderful piece. 🎁 And be sure to check out the [Sewingtimes YouTube channel] for more creative projects.
