DIY Swift Diaper Bag – Crossbody Bag Tutorial

We’ve all been there—trying to find a wipe with one hand while holding a squirmy baby with the other. It’s stressful! That’s why I designed this crossbody diaper bag with a built-in wipes dispenser. In my latest tutorial, I’m showing you exactly how to sew your own so you can stay organized and stress-free on every outing.

Attach the zipper to the zipper panel and sew the handle with 4″ spacing. Sandwich the zipper panel between the outer and lining of the bottom panel, then stitch both ends. Turn the completed side panel right side out and baste the edges of the outer fabric and lining together.

Mark the quarter points on both the main fabric and the side panel. Align these marks and sew them together with a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Finish the raw seam allowances by binding them with bias tape.
