◆ Strap
① 6″ × 2″ (15㎝ × 5㎝) Exterior
◆ Others

Place the front pocket exterior and lining fabrics right sides together, and stitch along the top edge. Turn it right side out, lay it on top of the main exterior panel, and sew around the three raw edges to secure it.
Place the flap exterior and lining right sides together, and stitch around three sides. Turn it right side out, position it at the top edge of the main exterior panel (right above the front pocket), and baste it in place.
Fold the inside pocket fabric twice to create the pocket structure, and topstitch along the top edges. Sew a vertical line down the center to divide it into sections, then place the pocket onto the lining panel and stitch it down.
Create a strap by folding the handle piece in half lengthwise twice (double-fold/butterfly fold). Fold the completed strap in half, place it on the side of the bottom gusset fabric, and baste it securely.
Align and sew both ends of the zipper to both ends of the bottom gusset fabric to create a continuous side panel loop.
Match the perimeter of the side panel loop to the perimeter of the main panel, right sides together. Stitch all the way around with a 1/4″ seam allowance.
Wrap the raw interior seams with bias binding tape and sew to finish. Turn your pencil case right side out, and you are all done!!
All done! We hope you enjoy creating your own wonderful piece.
