Position the completed pocket 3.1″ down from the top edge of the main Exterior panel, and stitch it in place

Place the zipper pocket lining 2.6″ down from the top edge of the main Lining panel, and stitch a 6″ long rectangle. Cut through the center of the rectangle, pull the pocket fabric through to the inside, and press the window flat with an iron. Align the zipper with the rectangular opening and stitch it in place, then fold the pocket lining in half and sew the remaining three sides closed.

Place the two main Exterior panels RST and sew along the three outer sides. Sew the main Lining panels together, making sure to leave a turning gap at the bottom. Place the Exterior and Lining shells RST, align the curved shoulder strap lines precisely, and stitch them together. Turn the entire bag right side out through the turning gap, and edge-stitch the opening closed. Unfold the unstitched ends of the shoulder straps, place them RST, and sew them together. Then, neatly tuck the raw edges inward and press flat.
