DIY Baby Diaper Bag

This diaper bag is large enough to hold a variety of baby items. The front and back pockets of the bag, as well as various pockets inside, make it convenient to organize things. Sometimes it can be used as a tote bag, sometimes as a shoulder bag. Let’s make step by step with “sewingtimes”.

Making Multi Poket Travel Bag [sewingtimes]

The finished measurements of this bag are approximately 11⅞″(30㎝) W × 9⅛″(23㎝) H × 4″(10㎝) D .

2   11⅞″ × 9⅛″(30㎝ × 23㎝)
2   17¾″ × 1¾″(45㎝ × 4.5㎝)

Magnetic Button

Cut the interfacing into the shape of the pattern. And fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side. Cut by adding 3/8” from the edge of the interfacing.

Place the zipper panel between the outer and lining of the lower side of the side, align the sides and sew.

Turn it over and sew the seam allowance of the outer and lining together.

Sew the flaps and pockets face to face, respectively, of the outer and lining.

Turn right out through an opening.

Place the pocket and flap on top of the main fabric and sew.

Make a zip pocket on the back.

Place the zipper pocket on the main fabric lining and sew.

Make inner pockets, place them on the lining and sew them.

Place the wrong sides together of the outer and lining and sew on all sides.

Mark the quarter points on the front, back and side panels.

Using your quater marks, start pining the bottom of your side panel around the perimeter of your bottom. The small snips will help the curved edge of the bag . Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.

The bias tape is placed and pinned, stitch up to the end. Stitch from the right side seam into seam, or sew manually from the backside.

Attach a shoulder strap to the side panel.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
