Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

◎ Main Panel
② 14⅝″ × 26⅛″ (37㎝ × 66㎝) Outer layer
② 14⅝″ × 12¼″ (37㎝ × 31㎝) Lining
◎ Strap Panel
② 4″ × 25¾″ (10㎝ × 65㎝) Outer layer
◎ String Panel
② 1⅜″ × 35⅜″ (3.5㎝ × 90㎝) Outer layer
② 15″ × 1¾″ (38㎝ × 4.5㎝) Outer layer

Fold the handle pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the strip, 1/8” from the edge.

Place the handles 2⅜″ in from edge of the right side of the main panel.

Place and sew the lining on top of the handle.

Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on the lining.

Fold it right sides together in half, Mark 5″ from the edge of the outer layer.

Sew only up to the marked line.

Open out, place the right sides together of the two main panel.

Sew on 3 sides of the outer layer, leaving the 12.5㎝(5″).

Flip the 5″ of the outer layer over to the lining.

Sew the rest of the piece, leaving an opening.

Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Mark and sew 3¼″ line.

Cut off leaving a 3/8″ seam allowance.

Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. And sew up this opening. Arrange the lining inside and press pieces.

Fold both ends of the casing fabric (15″ × 1¾″) 3/8″ twice and sew.

Fold the long side inward by 3/8″ and iron.

Place the casing along the fold line of the upper part of the outer layer and sew.

Fold the string pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along long edges of the strip.

Attach a safety pin on one end of string and thread it through the first hole, going all around and coming out in the hole next to it. Attach a safety pin to your other string and starting on the opposite side, do the same thing.

Knot the two ends of ribbon on each side together.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
