Attach the interfacing to the center of the wrong side of the fabric. Quilt it in any design you like.

Mark the center of your main panel and the center of your side panel. Using your center marks, start pining the bottom of your side panel around the perimeter of your main panel. Sew all the edges with an allowance of about 3/8″.

Place the zipper tab on the both sides of the zipper and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer. Place the lining on top of the zip. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″. Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.
Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way. Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.

Place the zipper pocket on the right side of the lining and sew the 3 sides.

Combine the main panel and side panel of the lining in the same way as the outer layer. Leave an opening in the bottom.

Place and pin the outer layer of the bag over the top of the lining with the right sides together. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″. Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. Sew the opening hole close. Topstitch all the way around of the top of the bag entrance.

Attach the bag strap.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
