DIY ROLL-UP PENCIL CASE

It is a ROLL-UP PENCIL CASE that can store writing tools, small notebook, etc.
There is a zipper pocket inside the pouch, so it is convenient to distinguish small items.
It was made of a cotton canvas fabric, so I didn’t use a interfacing.
Watch the video and just follow the step-by-step instructions and you will have your own Organizer Pen Pouch.

Organizer Pen Pouch Step by Step Tutorial

The finished measurements (when folded) of this pouch are approximately 5″(12.5㎝) W × 8¾″(22㎝) H.

You may watch the full video tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Share this video with a lot of people who need it.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.

Let's get started!!

To make this you will need:

Outer layer ( cotton canvas )
1  14″ × 8¾″ (34.5㎝ × 22㎝)
1  16½″ × 1½″ (41.5㎝ × 4㎝) : belt piece

Lining ( cotton cnavas )
1  9¾″ × 8¾″ (24.5㎝ × 22㎝)
1  4¾″ × 8¾″ (12㎝ × 22㎝)
1  9¼″ × 7⅛″ (23.5㎝ × 18㎝)
1  9¾ × 11⅞″ (24.5㎝ × 30㎝)
2  2½″ × 8¾″ (6.5㎝ × 22㎝)

Lining ( quilting cotton )
2  2½″ × 8¾″ (6.5㎝ × 22㎝)

Zipper
1  8″(20㎝)

4㎝(1½″) Wide Bias tapes – 47½″(120㎝)
9.5mm Snaps Button

The pattern for making this can be drawn by yourself by watching my YouTube video.

Fold the belt piece in half, wrong sides together to make a crease.
Place the center of the right side of the outer and sew.

Divide the areas and sew them so that you can insert pens.
Then, make a cover and sew it so that the pen holder is covered.

Place the zipper centred right sides together on top of the outer layer.
Place the lining on top of the zip.
Sew a 3/8” from the raw edge.
Repeat for the second side.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch on both 1/8” away from the zipper.
Then connect the pen pocket and the zipper pocket.

Place the wrong sides together of the outer and lining and sew with an allowance of about 1/4″.

Pin the raw edge of the bias tape to the raw edge of the outer.
Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Fold the bias tape to the wrong side of the outer fabric and fold it twice.
Topstitch around the inside of the bias tape.

YOU ARE FINISHED!

Happy sewing!
