Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
◆ Main Panel
① 5″ × 4″ (12.5㎝ × 10㎝) Outer layer
③ 5″ × 4″ (12.5㎝ × 10㎝) Lining
① 5″ × 4″ (12.5㎝ × 10㎝) Fusible fleece
◆ Front pocket
① 5″ × 1⅝″ (12.5㎝ × 4㎝) Outer layer
① 5″ × 1⅝″ (12.5㎝ × 4㎝) Lining
① 5″ × 1⅝″ (12.5㎝ × 4㎝) Fusible fleece
① 5″ × 2⅝″ (12.5㎝ × 6.5㎝) Outer layer
① 5″ × 2⅝″ (12.5㎝ × 6.5㎝) Lining
① 5″ × 2⅝″ (12.5㎝ × 6.5㎝) Fusible fleece
◆ Zipper panel
① 9⅛″ × 1¼″ (23㎝ × 3㎝) Outer layer
① 9⅛″ × 1¼″ (23㎝ × 3㎝) Lining
① 9⅛″ × 1¼″ (23㎝ × 3㎝) Fusible fleece
◆ Others
① 4″ (10㎝) Zipper
① 6″ (15㎝) Zipper
Cut the fabric and interfacing into the shape of the pattern. Fuse the fusible fleece, centered, to the wrong side.
Place the zipper right sides together on top of the outer layer of the pocket panel. Place the lining on top of the zip. Sew with an allowance of about 1/4″.
Open out, press pieces away from the zipper.
Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the zip the same way.
Open out, press pieces away from and top stitch 1/8” away from the zipper.
Align the ends of the zipper panel with the ends of the zipper and sew them together. Turn right side out. Sew along both long edges of the outer and lining of the zipper panel.
Do this by marking the quarter of your main panel and the quarter of your gusset (these are attached to each other at this point but just fold the piece in half to find the center). Now, using your quarter marks, start pining the bottom of your gusset around the perimeter of your main panel. Sew all the edges with an allowance of about 1/4″.
Place the lining, right side down on top. Pin in place. Sew with an allowance of about 1/4″, leaving an opening. Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. And sew up this opening.
Attach the outer and lining to the other side of the gusset the same way.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
Happy sewing!
