Let's get started!!
To make this you will need:
◆ Main panel – outer front side
① 14⅛″ × 8″ (36㎝ × 20㎝) Outer layer
① 14⅛″ × 9⅞″ (36㎝ × 25㎝) Lining
◆ Main panel – outer back side
① 14⅛″ × 17″ (36㎝ × 43㎝) Outer layer
◆ Main panel – inner side
② 14⅛″ × 2¾″ (36㎝ × 7㎝) Outer layer
② 14⅛″ × 15″ (36㎝ × 38㎝) Lining
◆ Front pocket
① 14⅛″ × 13″ (36㎝ × 33㎝) Outer layer
① 14⅛″ × 10¼″ (36㎝ × 26㎝) Lining
◆ Shoulder strap
② 30½″ × 1⅝″ (77㎝ × 4㎝) Outer layer
Place the right sides together of the outer and lining of the front side and sew the top with an allowance of about 1㎝(3/8″).
Place the right sides together of the outer and lining of the pocket and sew with an allowance of about 1㎝(3/8″). Open out and topstitch.
Place the front pocket on the right side of the main panel and sew.
Place the right sides together of the outer and lining of the inner side and sew with an allowance of about 3/8″. And open out.
Fold the shoulder strap pieces in half, wrong sides together to make a crease. Then fold each edge in toward the middle and press. Stitch along both long edges of the shoulder strap, 1/8″ from the edge.
Place the shoulder strap on the right side of the outer layer and sew. Place the lining, right side down on top and sew the top.
Flip the layers so the outer bag pieces are right sides together, and the lining pieces are right sides together. Sew 4 sides , leaving an opening.
Combine the seams so that a flat base is formed. Sew with an allowance of about 3/8″.
Turn it right side out by pulling the fabric through the opening. And sew up this opening.
Arrange the lining inside and press pieces away from and stitch on the 1/8” away from the bag entrance.
Sew the bag and shoulder strap together.
YOU ARE FINISHED!
