How to Sew a Wide-Open Pencil Case with Outer Pockets

If you are looking for a quick, scrap-friendly sewing project that is both adorable and incredibly functional, you have come to the right place! Today, I’m excited to share a step-by-step guide on how to sew this clever pocket pencil case.
The magic of this design is in the zipper—when you open it, the pouch expands wide so you can see all your pens, sewing notions, or makeup at a single glance. No more digging around to find what you need! Plus, those cute outer pockets on both sides are perfect for slipping in small items you need to grab quickly. It’s a fantastic project for beginners and makes a wonderful handmade gift. Let’s get our sewing machines ready and dive in!
